Hey everyone!
Ysd was halloween.
Not tt i even celebrate it or anything.
But ysd was definately one of the most special days for LD.
We had our blackbox!
Which was part of the halloween theme since we did the
7 deadly sins.
It was great, btw.
All of us had such a blast doing it.
For the 1st show, all of us were like really scared and nervous
since we were afraid we might screw it up and stuff.
But luckily, we didnt and everything went quite alright. :D
Quite a no. of ppl came for the 1st show which were mostly crescentians.
Aft the 1st show, all of us went down to have a short break.
We didnt have a chance to get to see the P6 Awetism booth but we
did meet jia yi and rin at the canteen.
Jia Yi, ur hairstyle was so awesome. ;D
Haha!
When we had our 2nd show, all of us seemed a little more calmed down i guess.
Since we already did it the 1st time.
But there were many more ppl for the 2nd show.
This time, they were mainly P6s and parents.
I felt tt the 2nd time was better.
Everyone was realllyyyy AMAZINGGG!
Aft the play ended, all of us took pics and helped clear up later.
When I got back hm, i was like really tired and by 9pm, my eye lids were like closing.
Well, u cant blame me.
We had been staying back till 6pm the entire wk and not to mention,
we had to get to sch by 7am ysd as well.
But it was all worth it,
out blackbox turned out GREAT! :D
Cant w8 for next yr!
P.S We'll miss u, Mat, Renee, Genevieve, Kailing, 1C3 '08 & 2C3 '09! ♥
P.P.S The simpsons halloween special was kinda nice! (:

When you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your . . . deed may be in secret.
— Matthew 6:3-4

The urge to misbehave and the desire to be anonymous always visit me together. Like partners making a sales call, they do their best to convince me that I can afford to do something wrong because I won’t have to pay.

Human nature tells us to use the cover of anonymity to avoid taking the blame for the bad things we do. God, however, tells us something else. He wants us to use anonymity to avoid taking credit for the good that we do (Matt. 6:4). Why is it that the urge to remain anonymous seldom accompanies my desire to do good!

The Bible says we’re not to let one hand know the good that the other is doing (vv.3-4). In other words, within the body of Christ our deeds of charity should be done without calling attention to ourselves. This does not mean, however, that God wants good deeds to remain hidden; it just means that they should be done in a way that makes a good name for God, not ourselves (5:16).

When we volunteer our services or make donations to churches and organizations that do good work in the name of Jesus, we receive something much better than honor from our peers. We receive rewards from God, and God receives glory from others! (1 Peter 2:12).
Julie Ackerman Link

God bless you and keep you and give you His love;
God prosper your labor with help from above.
Be His strength in your arm and His love in your soul,
His smile your reward and His glory your goal.

When we serve in Jesus’ name, He gets the glory.

Im frigging enjoying E-learning!

as i can.
Many would say tt u have much less free time nw

I have so much more time nw and i can wake
up much later which is the most important thing
for me. :D
Anw, today was the 1st day of our e-learning.
Eng was alright.
I think its still better than normal lessons.
At the beginning of the conversation,
everyone started talking all at once and it got
really chaotic and stuff.
But it was alright aft tt.
And guess wad?
I ate lunch at 4.30pm today cuz my mum was so
busy and she said she wanted to bring me out to
eat so my maid didnt cook anything.
So i had to starve from 10am all the way to 4.30pm.
But its ok, in the end, my maid made salad. (:
Its not tt fulling but i didnt have a choice cuz like
i was gonna have dinner soon anw.
Besides, its good for my diet!
But dun worry, i wont go as crazy as Jia yi.
Haha, kidding.
Ok, i have nothing else to say nw!
Just wanna tell u guys tt i totally love my new layout!!
BYEEE!

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.
— Psalm 98:4

At age 94, Pastor Willis was admitted into a care facility. From his wheelchair, he shared with joy how God had given him a new mission field to share the gospel. When he was bedridden a few years later, he spoke with enthusiasm of being in the best possible position to look up to God. When he died at age 100, Pastor Willis left behind a legacy of one who sang a new song of praise at every turn of his earthly life.

Psalm 98 exhorts us to sing a new song for God who “has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory” (v.1). We ought to praise Him —even in times of difficulty—for God remembers “His mercy and His faithfulness” (v.3). Though this psalm is about God freeing the Israelites from slavery, it is prophetically also about our salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. And as we remember what God has done for us, we can trust Him to help us with today’s difficulties as well as tomorrow’s uncertainties.

The psalmist wrote: “Let the sea roar, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell in it; . . . let the hills be joyful together before the Lord” (vv.7-9). Let us join God’s creation in singing praise to our Savior!
— Albert Lee

I don’t know about tomorrow,
Nor what coming days will bring;
But I know my Lord is with me,
And His praise my heart will sing.

Wow, i'm posting again today!
So i guess this must be a miracle or something.
Ok, i've decided, im gonna keep my post short and sweet.
I just wanna share something with u guys today;
U noe i realise tt nothing good can last forever.
I have 2 real life examples here.
Take F.R.I.E.N.D.S and Harry potter for example.
Ok, for those who do not know, F.R.I.E.N.D.S is a really
funny TV show.
It's quite an old show actually.
It started in the 1990 onwards i tihnk.
Not really sure.
Well, i've watched it for 3 times nw and it has 10 seasons.
And its like the next day, u're already at the 10th season.
And the tihng is, its just so sad cuz like u would expect it
to nvr end since there're like 10 seasons.
Oh and harry potter, can u believe we're already on the 6th movie??
Argh, just 2 more yrs and harry potter will be out of our lives forever.
How sad is tt?
And everytime u'll tihnk u have something to look forward to.
So it's true then, everything good comes to an end. ):
Anw, e-learning tmr! :D
I get to wake up at 10.30! YAY!
Ok, bye!

At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, . . . [and] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
— Philippians 2:10-11

As a kid, I loved watching the film Little Lord Fauntleroy. The story focuses on Cedric, a boy growing up in a poor home with his mother in Brooklyn. He discovers the stunning news that he is actually the direct descendant of the Earl of Dorincourt and the heir of a vast fortune. One day he’s a nobody playing “kick the can” on the streets of New York, and then suddenly he’s traveling through an English town to the cries of “Your lordship!” from adoring villagers.

If you had seen Jesus playing in the streets of Nazareth as a boy, you wouldn’t have taken any special notice of Him (except that He probably wasn’t playing “kick the can”). If you had seen Him in the carpentry shop, you wouldn’t have had a clue about His deity. And if you had seen Him hanging on the cross, that horrific scene wouldn’t have enticed your heart to adore Him if you didn’t know what was behind it.

But in His resurrection, Jesus revealed His true identity. He is the conquering King—ultimate royalty! Since “God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name” (Phil. 2:9), how much more should we adoringly worship Him who, in such surrendered humility, died so that He could become our victorious King!
— Joe Stowell

Behold Him there! The risen Lamb!
My perfect, spotless righteousness;
The great, unchangeable I AM,
The King of glory and of grace.
— Bancroft

Recognize and respond to the royalty of God—worship Him!

She fell down recently but she could walk a little nw. (:
And yes, i didnt forget bout the shopping there.
I bought so many things:
1. A bunch of clothes from Fox, Mango & Playboy.
2. New sunglasses from Evita Peroni (Not a very popular brand though)
3. New wallet from GUESS.
(but it was on a mega sale so it wasnt tt expensive) ;D
Nw more bout ysd-
Went to Ash's hse at 11 11.30.
We were supposed to be there by 11 but me and flo were late
so we only got there at 11.30.
Sorry ash!
So like we were supposed to meet at pioneer MRT station
at first but since me and flo were late,
we had to go to boonlay mart station and go to the bus
interchange and take bus 242 to ash's hse instead.
Oh and it was so coincidental, ok, not really.
But i met flo in the bus so we went to ash's hse together.
Aft reaching to ash's hse, we tried installing sims 3 to her
comp but it didnt work and we had to keep retrying over &
over again.
Aft tt, me, ash, flo, jia yi and andrea took pics together n stuff.
We then went to ash's living rm and ash played the organ
which was so beautiful.
She totally rocked at it! :D
So then she played 'under the sea' n a bunch of other songs
frm the little mermaid.
Aft listening to all the songs, we felt like watching little mermaid
so badly.
N ash had the CD so we decided to watch the little mermaid
while eating our lunch which was the fried rice ash's mum
bought frm the hawker.
It was so delicious!
All of us had second helpings.
Oh and we oso had green bean soup for dessert aft tt. :D
Aft which, we then took more pics again and ash's mum was so nice
to help us take a few shots together.
We then started playing korean songs, all of which were
Jia yi's recommendations. (:
And we started dancing to it, haha.
Jia yi was like the best dance of all time,
she knew like all the moves!
The rest of us were just like trying to follow her.
We looked so pathetic.
And belive or not, we took even MORE pics aft tt.
But all of the pics were so nice!
I love them so much.
But as usual, i look so weird in all of them.):
Well, time flies as we're having fun.
It was like already 5pm by then and me, flo and jia yi had to
go home.
Andrea went back at arnd 4 cuz she had to go 1st.
Anw, had i real blast ysd.
Missed them so much!
Bye for nw! (:
P.S Jia yi's new wallet from river island is so nice!

If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us.
— Numbers 14:8

Eugene Cussons rescues chimpanzees. Orphaned by those in the business of bush-meat trade and taken from the jungle as infants, many have lived their entire lives confined in a space smaller than a prison cell. When Cussons arrives to take them to the game reserve he calls “Chimp Eden,” he often finds them hostile and untrusting.

“These chimps don’t realize that I am one of the good guys,” Cussons says. When he tries to put them into a smaller crate for the trip to their new home, they put up quite a fight. “They don’t know that I’m going to take them back to Chimp Eden and give them a life so much better.”

On a much grander scale, God’s offer to liberate us from the slavery of sin is often met with resistance. When He rescued the children of Israel from Egypt, God took them through difficult places that caused them to doubt His good intentions. “Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?” they cried (Num. 14:3).

On our journey of faith, there are times when the “freedom” of sin that we left behind is more appealing than the restrictions of faith that lie ahead. We must trust the protective boundaries found in God’s Word as the only way to get to the place of ultimate freedom.
Julie Ackerman Link

Sin’s lure may look like freedom
But in its grip we’re bound;
It’s when we’re bound to Jesus
Real freedom will be found.

Obedience to God is the key to freedom.

Hey everyone.
The day we have all been looking forward too
has finally arrived! :D
Yes people, the HOLIDAYS are HERE!
WOOO!
I bet u guys have like the hols are planned out.
Like what ya gonna do and stuff.
Well, me too! (I think)
Ok, like most of my hols are gonna be spent in
bangkok cuz like half of my family is there?
But i dun mind it i guess.
Its not like i dun have any fun there right?
The sad thing is that i won't get to go to the
class outing and ELDDS's Sec 4 farewell!
Doesnt tt just sound sad? D:
Right nvm, lets forget bout tt.
So today was clean and green day.
We spent the first few hours of the day using our comp.
Me and kajal were watching The O.C and let me tell u,
Its the BESTEST show EVER!
Apart from FRIENDS of course. (:
Can u believe it, we managed to finish watching 4 episodes.
Which is alot.
Well, for me its alot.
Cuz like me and kajal were calculating whether it would be
possible for us to finish watching all 4 seasons of The O.C
before the end of the hols, the other day.
And we found out we had to watch 4 ep each day if we wanted
to finish watching the series.
So i told Kajal that it would be kinda impossible cuz
1. We have other things to do E.g Homework
2. We have to w8 for the videos to load
     (though it loads pretty fast)
3. Sometimes there would be probs with the videos
But guess wad?
We managed to finish it within those few hours!
So yea, i guess it would be possible aft all.
Ok, im off to watch the curious case of benjamin button nw!
Oh which reminds me, thx so much kajal for lending me the disc!
:D
Bye!

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
— Ephesians 6:11

Paul the apostle, a spiritual warrior, testified as he came to the end of his embattled life: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Tim. 4:7).

Years earlier, that valiant soldier of Jesus Christ had pleaded with his fellow Christians to put on the armor of God that would enable them to stand firm in their conflict with the powers of darkness. He knew the vital importance of donning that armor every day. In his service for Christ, Paul had been whipped, beaten, stoned, and imprisoned, and was often hungry, thirsty, cold, and weary (2 Cor. 11:22-28).

Strapping on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (God’s Word) enabled Paul to “quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one” (Eph. 6:14-17). With God’s armor we too are fully covered and prepared for battle.

The prince of darkness with his hosts of demonic helpers is an incredibly crafty foe. That’s why we need to guard against his deceitful devices and put on the whole armor of God every day. When we do, like Paul when he was nearing the end of his days, we can be confident that we have “kept the faith.”
 — Vernon C. Grounds

Sound the battle cry! See—the foe is nigh!
Raise the standard high for the Lord;
Gird your armor on, stand firm, everyone;
Rest your cause upon His holy Word.
— Sherwin

God’s armor is tailormade for you, but you must put it on.

What this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.
— Matthew 26:13

In 1948, the US Air Force Chief of Staff noticed that no one attended the funeral of an airman at Arlington National Cemetery, and that deeply disturbed him. He talked with his wife about his concern that each soldier be honored at burial, and she began a group called the Arlington Ladies.

Someone from the group honors each deceased soldier by attending his or her funeral. The ladies also write personal notes of sympathy and speak words of gratitude to family members when they are present. If possible, a representative keeps in contact with the family for months afterward.

Margaret Mensch, an Arlington Lady, says, “The important thing is to be there for the families. . . . It’s an honor to . . . pay tribute to the everyday heroes that make up the armed forces.”

Jesus showed the importance of paying tribute. After a woman poured a costly, fragrant oil on His head, He said that she would be honored for years to come (Matt. 26:13). The disciples were indignant and thought her act was wasteful, but Jesus called it “a good work” (v.10) for which she would be remembered.

We know heroes who have given their lives in service to God and their country. Let’s honor them today.
—  Anne Cetas

Lord, help us to appreciate
The work that others do,
The service given from their hearts,
Their sacrifice for You.
